Ability to Rebuild a Database. The ability to rebuild your database has been added in the Fishbowl Server Administration page. This process creates a new clean copy of the database without any transactions. Rebuilding a database can take anywhere from 30 seconds to one hour depending on database size and server resources. Running a Data Query in the REST API You can execute data queries in Fishbowl’s REST API to retrieve details on parts, vendors, and much more. We updated the REST API documentation to better explain how to import CSV files into Fishbowl. For example, file names are case-sensitive. CardConnect Is Now Clover ConnectCardConnect’s name has been changed to Clover Connect in Fishbowl, in order to reflect its new branding. Here’s How to Update Fishbowl to 2022.3 On the server computer, close the Fishbowl Client and stop the Fishbowl Server. Make a backup of your database by opening the Fishbowl Server window. Select Tools, then Options, then right-click on your database and select “Backup Database. “If you have images, custom reports, or custom plugins, we recommend contacting the Reports team or Custom Plugins Development team. We also recommend making a backup of your images, custom reports, and custom plugins files. Install the new version of Fishbowl on the server computer. Start the Fishbowl Server and wait until the database update is complete. On each client computer, the Fishbowl Client will automatically update the first time you run Fishbowl. |
